The entire car ended up inside the building, which was being inspected to determine whether it was safe to enter. The building at First Street and Pleasant Avenue has been vacant for months, according to police.
Witnesses, who told police the vehicle was traveling about 80 to 100 mph, helped the woman from the car. They also said the woman had to be restrained before firefighters arrived.
“It went in about 25 feet,” a witness told NBC4. “We had to dig her out. She was yelling and screaming about trying to get away.”
Details regarding her injuries were not immediately available.
